The Minmi Magster
Bob Skelton aka 'The Minmi Magster' has been a regular attraction at the Field Days and Tocal Homestead for many years. In 2007 he performed his bush poetry at the Wedge. Here are two of Bob's recent poems inspired by the Field Days.
Tocal Small Farms* Field Days
"Tocal Field Day's, are on again soon
And their tippin', some real beaut' weather
So come along, join the happy throng
This year, they'll be bigger and better than ever.
There'll be Tractors & Trikes, Quads & Bikes
There'll be Sheds & Tools galore
There'll be Bulls & Cows, Horses & Ploughs
Rain Tanks and much much more.
There'll be experts there, with time to spare
To speak on aspects, of farmin' life or what ever
So come along, join the happy throng
This year it's bigger and better than ever
Yes and I'll be there, with poems & yarns to share
On our modern or old bush ways
So come along, join the happy throng
At this years, Tocal Small Farms* Field Days".

*When the Tocal Field Days began in 1984 they were called the Tocal Small Farms Field Days. In 1988 the words 'Small Farms' were dropped from the name as there is information and products available that suit a range of property sizes.
